Methodology

Audit. Govern.
Assure.

I don't sell hardware. I don't mark up software. I sell the certainty that your technology is under control.

01

The Audit

We start by lifting the hood. I review your current MSP contracts, your shadow AI usage, and your cyber defenses.

  • Vendor Contract Review
  • Shadow AI Discovery
  • Cyber Essentials Gap Analysis
02

The Governance

We build the framework. Policies that are actually readable, and controls that don't stop your team from working.

  • AI Acceptable Use Policy
  • Incident Response Plan
  • Vendor Service Level Agreements
03

The Assurance

I stay on as your oversight partner. I sit in your board meetings and translate "tech speak" into business risk.

  • Quarterly Board Reporting
  • Monthly Vendor Reviews
  • Annual Strategy Refresh

Dave Lane
About Dave Lane

"I don't just advise from the outside.
I know what it feels like to own the risk."

I started working in IT in 2000. For 25 years, I’ve operated across infrastructure, security, risk, and governance. My background is deep and hands-on—not built on theory or frameworks, but on fixing broken systems and protecting real assets.

Crucially, I run a small business myself. I understand commercial reality: cash flow, margin, trade-offs, and pressure.

I am direct and precise with language. I will push back when language obscures accountability. I am comfortable saying "no" when it matters.
